# Component source layout

|
|
|
Each component folder contains:
|
|
|
|
- `index.html`: one or more named HTML templates. Root pages load them with `index.html#fragment`.
|
|
- `style/index.css`: the component styles.
|
|
- `component.js`: the local-file compatible registry generated from `index.html`.
|
|
- `img/`: only the image assets referenced by that component.
|
|
|
|
`shared/` contains global tokens, base styles, the component loader, and shared glyph samples.
|
|
The complete pre-organization snapshot is stored under `../old/`.
|
|
|
|
After editing a component `index.html`, run `python src-web/sync-components.py` from the project root.
